响子（小野真弓饰）是一名在电视台工作的女性，这天，她收到一封来信，信中讲述了关于壁男的传说。所谓壁男，就是一种生活在墙体中间的奇特生物，它可以在墙壁间自由穿行，并默默注视着人类的一举一动。响子将壁男做成专题节目，引起街头巷尾的热议。由此开始，民间关于壁男的传说也越来越多。响子的男朋友仁科（堺雅人饰）是一名摄影师，他也对壁男产生了浓厚的兴趣。仁科拍摄大量墙壁的照片，并试图和壁男进行交流，这一切都让响子担心不已…… 本片根据漫画家诸星大二郎的同名短篇作品（收录在短篇集《夢の木の下で》中）改编，影片全程在北海道拍摄。。Charlie's getting married.
