本武侠片为林福地编导，由舒佩佩、虞慧及川原主演。故事讲述巡按御史傅秉忠(井淼饰)被皇上降下圣旨令其即行开缺回籍，傅装好两箱书，与仆人取山道回京城。傅主仆二人途中遇见武功不凡的燕书棠(川原饰)、少女史雪兰(舒佩佩饰)与丫环小梅(虞慧饰)，一行人在破庙遭遇匪徒袭击，两箱书被抢走，傅秉忠与史雪兰更被匪徒掳进山洞……。一对因进城打工而两地分居的年轻夫妇，在中秋节那天都意外得到了一天假，相思中不约而同前去探望对方，却相互扑空失之交臂。一天下来，俩人分别坐了四趟火车，最后却只能通过相向而行的车窗相望。。The series follows James St. Patrick, nicknamed "Ghost", owner of a popular New York City nightclub. In addition, he is a major player in one of the city's biggest illegal drug networks.
